Risk Investigator

Louisville, KY - Full Time - Risk

Beyond, is seeking an experienced Risk investigator.  Investigators will monitor suspicious transaction and resolves fraudulent activities. Investigator will also contact clients and cardholders to verify charges.  The overall objective is to mitigate and prevent loss to Beyond, while educating our clients and sales representative.

 

 

What You Will Do

  • Analyzes information on Beyond’s and third party processor systems to evaluate authorizations/Settlements, to detect and assess fraud, account problems and/or errors reported by Clients.
  • Analyzing queues; research multiple systems and makes decisions to prevent specific areas of fraud that lead to unrecoverable losses.
  • Review payment history and activity to identify suspicious payment trends.
  • Capture and hold funds according to guidelines as warranted
  • Evaluates information and documentation to determine the validity of the documentation.
  • Works with Management and Fraud investigators to improve systems, procedures or processes to reduce risk and fraud losses
  • Works with fraud investigators, law enforcement officials, and other financial institutions regarding fraud accounts, applications, compromises
  • Educate Clients and Business advocates regarding the fundamentals of proper card acceptance procedures and best practices.

 

 

Who You Are

  • Working knowledge of debit/credit card fraud operations and processes, in areas such as risk mitigation, chargebacks, dispute/fraud, and/or loss prevention
  • Effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to use good judgment and show initiative
  • Effective time management, organization and problem solving skills with ability to multi task and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to maintain professionalism in stressful and confrontational situations

Senior Underwriter

Louisville, KY - Full Time - Operations

Beyond, is seeking a dedicated experienced underwriter who wants to be part of a growing company within the payment card industry.  Acting independently and with minimal direction, this position will be responsible for underwriting and analyzing new and renewal business. Will also administer and monitor underwriting rules, guidelines. This position will also work within their letter of authority and defined guidelines on complex risks. Additionally, this position will assist in the training and development of new or less experienced Underwriter Trainees and Underwriters and may work on special program assignments where data analysis and presentation of findings are required.

 

 

What You Will Do

  • Executes underwriting strategy as established by the program.
  • Accepts, modifies, or declines new and renewal business within delegated level of authority.
  • Reviews and analyzes exposures of risks.
  • Monitors and reviews new and renewal business results to ensure growth and profitability as established by the program.
  • Consistently adheres to underwriting letter of authority, guidelines, and company policy.
  • Manage results of book of business and implement underwriting action when applicable.
  • communicates regularly with Sales to achieve production profit objectives.
  • Identifies the steps that facilitate movement from the problem to the resolution stage.
  • Assists in the training and development of new or less experienced Underwriter Trainees and Underwriters.
  • Leads special program assignments.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Schedule is 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday - Friday

 

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's degree and five years related experience in the commercial lending industry and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to effectively present information.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Have high levels of accuracy and detail along with a specific focus on timeliness, productivity, and quality.
  • Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

Summary:

The benefits administrator position is responsible for directing and planning the day-to-day operations of group benefits programs (group health, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, worker's compensation, life insurance, travel and accident plan, flexible spending plan, 401(k) plan and retirement plan). The benefits administrator also provides excellent customer service, improves existing programs, and administers the company’s benefit programs.

 

What you will do

  • Serve as primary contact for plan vendors and third-party administrators
  • Coordinate transfer of data to external contacts for services, premiums and plan administration
  • Evaluate and revise internal processes to reduce costs and increase efficiency
  • Document and maintain administrative procedures for assigned benefits processes
  • Ensure compliance with applicable government regulations
  • Ensure timeliness and accuracy of required reporting and fees
  • Coordinate daily benefits processing 
  • Handle enrollments, COBRA, terminations, changes, beneficiaries, disability, accident and death claims, rollovers, QDROs, QMCSOs, distributions, loans, hardships and compliance testing 
  • Oversee maintenance of employee benefits files, maintain group benefits database and update employee payroll records
  • Gather employee data and oversee the processing of monthly billings for all group plans
  • Allocate group health and dental claims monthly and reviews quarterly
  • Perform plan audits. Prepare, collect and organize data for actuarial assessments
  • Review both short- and long-range cost estimates/projections and relevant statistical analyses regarding modifications in benefits programs and implementation of new programs
  • Survey industry trends and complete benefits surveys and review information obtained from the results
  •  Analyze complex benefits information 
  • Forecast trends and assist with future benefits designs
  • Develop specific recommendations for review by management
  • Provide customer service support to internal and external customers
  • Develop communication tools to enhance understanding of the company's benefits package
  • Design and distribute materials for benefits orientations, open enrollment, and summary plan descriptions
  • Provide training and support to group benefits associates, home office associates and the field staff
  • Provide backup services for other HR functions

 

Who you are

  • Bachelor's degree and three to five years of related benefits or employee benefit administration experience.
  • Ability to evaluate employee relations issues and troubleshoot
  • Relationship Management experience 
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment 
  • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft products, including PPT, experience with HRIS and benefits databases
  • Project and team management/leadership skills and experience. Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment with associates 
  • Capability of effective planning and priority setting. Ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously
  • Strong analytical skills and a thorough knowledge of plan designs. Ability to understand, evaluate and make judgment on the proposals (RFPs)
  • Knowledge of benefits contract language
  • Knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements, both adopted and pending, affecting employee benefits programs, including ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, workers' compensation, Medicare, OBRA, and Social Security and DOL requirements
